Commission an Original Painting
A commissioned painting offers the opportunity to create a one-of-one original artwork in conversation with your space, your story, and the visual language of my existing work.
We’ll establish the overall direction together—size, palette, mood, placement, and the paintings you connect with—while leaving room for the intuitive decisions that make each piece original.
How the Commission Process Works
1. Share Your Space & Vision
Start by telling me about the space, approximate size you’re considering, color palette, and any existing works of mine that resonate with you. Photos and wall dimensions are especially helpful when the painting is being created for a specific room.
2. Define the Direction
We’ll align on the artwork size, palette, mood, and overall direction before the painting begins. Previous paintings can be used as a reference point for atmosphere, composition, or color, but commissioned works are not replicas.
3. The Painting
Once the direction is established, I create the work in my own visual language, allowing the painting to develop naturally within the parameters we discussed. Every commission is a one-of-one original.
4. Completion & Delivery
Timing depends on the size and complexity of the painting and my current studio schedule. I’ll provide an estimated timeline before the project begins. Once complete, we’ll coordinate shipping, delivery, or pickup as appropriate.
A Certificate of Authenticity is included with commissioned original artwork.
What to Include in Your Inquiry
- Approximate artwork size or wall dimensions
- Photos of the space, if available
- Preferred colors or palette
- Links or names of Alisha Morgan paintings you connect with
- Your city or delivery destination
- Any important target date or installation timing
